Lounge
Virgin has really homogenised their lounges around Australia. Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth all have lounges that are almost indistinguishable from each other. Even the Adelaide lounge is not bad. I really like their design. Open spaces with wine bars, espresso stops and a main food service area. The beer selection is the best I’ve seen. And there is a trolley that delivers fresh pies and mini hot dogs around the lounge.
Seat

This is a single aisle plane so business class is essentially a big recliner. It’s a 2-2 configuration, so you still have to climb over your seat mate to get out if you’re by the window. There are only 8 seats at the front of the plane and it’s divided from the rest of the plane by a purple wall and a velvet rope. Kinda like the VIP section of a club.
There really isn’t much to this seat. It reclines a little bit. There is a mini cocktail table on the arm rest. You get a little more leg room than someone in economy.
Storage
There isn’t really any extra storage compared to a normal economy class seat.
Service
Service is awesome, and consistent on Virgin Business. The staff always introduce themselves at the start, and provides a welcome drink, sometimes 2. They also refer to you by your name; it’s very personable service, and they do it well.

Entertainment
You can get an iPad if you like. But there is no where to put your iPad unless its on the little fold out table. It really didn’t matter, the flight was so short anyway.
Food and Drink

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I really enjoyed the food here. In fact I’ve enjoyed every Virgin business class dish I’ve ever had. I had a smoked salmon salad, and it was so fresh! it tastes like the salad leaves were just plucked from the ground today! My wife had crispy skin pork belly, which did actually have crackling and the meat was super juicy! Amazing stuff.
Style and Character

I mean, it’s just a big comfy recliner, so I can’t say it’s particularly inspiring.
