Shop Small is a program run by American Express through the month of November where you get a $10 cashback for each time you spend $20 or more at five different participating small business retailers.
The promotion encourages spending on your American Express at small businesses all around Australia!
How Does It Work?
Each time you spend $20 or more at a participating small business, you get $10 back as a statement credit up to 5 times. It’s as simple as that! Click here for a map of participating retailers so you can find one near you easily.
The range and type of retailers are broad so there shouldn’t be any difficulty finding a retailer to accept your Amex. So hopefully this means you shouldn’t have to go out of your way to change your spending habits!
Also to note, this offer is per cardmember, so if you have a few secondary card holders up your sleeve, get them to sign up as well for extra statement credit fun!
How Do I Do This?
- Sign into your your American Express Account and scroll down to My Offers where hopefully you will see an offer for Shop Small. Click on the “Save Offer” link and you are done. You should receive a confirmation email in your inbox within 5 minutes of signing up.
- Alternatively if you don’t get the offer in your account, never fear! Click here to enrol your card.
What’s the Catch?
- Save the offer to your eligible Card between 31 October 2017 and 30 November 2017.
- Limited to the first 100,000 Cards to save the offer.
- You can only get the credit back one time per business, up to 5 times.
- Only purchases made directly with the business counts (so payments via PayPal are excluded)
- Excludes online purchases and gift cards.
- Business Cards that are affiliated with a wholesaler partner, American Express Business Travel Accounts, Government Cards, Corporate Purchasing Cards, Corporate Meeting Cards, Corporate Cards and David Jones Storecards are excluded.
- Credit may be reversed if your qualifying purchase is subsequently refunded or cancelled.
